IN MEMORIAM

We remember here those of the Class of 1975 who have left us and also our beloved principal Dr B M Kotewall who moulded our minds and inspired so many of us in our chosen paths in life.  I share with you here the opening address of Dr Kotewall's funeral.

Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in me, though he die yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in me shall never die.

We brought nothing into this world, and we take nothing out. The Lord gives, and the Lord taketh away; blessed be the name of the Lord.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his compassion never fails: every morning they are renewed.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

God so love the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who loved him.

ST JOHN'S CATHEDRAL

The opening address at the funeral of Dr B M Kotewall, 17.12.96

Our recent loss, while painful, did provide the rest of us a rare example of courage which serve to remind us of the power of HOPE, FAITH and the greatest of them all LOVE.

Nancy Li 01

Nancy fought a courageous battle against cancer.
Despite much suffering, she left no medicines or methods untried
just so her family and friends can rest in the thought that
they have exhausted all means that are available to them - no regrets.
In death as in life, Nancy has been a model to us all.
We should therefore heed one of her last wishes.

As Nancy was a well-known media person, all of us will have vivid memory of her on the TV screen.  However, images do speak a million words.  I therefore share with you here extracts from my personal collection.
